Kalmbach Swine Management typically hires several sophomores and juniors into our internship program, which has become one of our strongest means of recruiting top students. We view the program as a continuing two-way interview. It allows an intern to gain first-hand knowledge of Kalmbach, while we evaluate the performance to determine the potential for a career with our company.

Kalmbach is offering paid internships on the swine farms it manages. We are particularly interested in undergraduate students who would like to gain hands-on swine production experience.

The internship experience includes a mentor who assists the student. The mentor can appreciate and understand the intern's role in the business. The mentor answers questions, assigns responsibilities, shares insights, and guides the student during the internship.

Responsibilities of this position include maintaining, and scheduling the efficient, safe breeding and farrowing of sows to reach production and financial goals for the operation.
