| Qualifications: |
|
Current Ohio RN Licensure. Current CPR Certification. Completion of required 24 hours of Diabetes continuing education within 3 months of hire (as defined in Standards of Practice and current DSME Program Guidelines). Completion of Certification testing for Diabetes Educator after 5 years of diabetes education to patients and families. Completes at least 6 hours per year of approved continuing education that includes a combination of diabetes, educational principles, and behavior strategies. Previous patient education experience preferred. |
